What to Expect in Your First Session
Never Done This Before? Good, Neither had most of my clients.
If any of the equipment photos make you go "absolutely not," take a breath. Nobody walks in already knowing how any of this works, and you're not expected to either.
Your first session is really just a chat with a workout attached. We'll talk about your body, what's tight, what's cranky, what you're hoping to get out of all this. Then we ease into it together, piece by piece. Pilates is a practice, so lil by lil and adjustment by adjustment, we work together.
I'm right there the whole time, so there's no chance of doing it "wrong."
Most people leave that first session a bit wobbly legged and a lot surprised, usually saying some version of "I didn't expect to feel that."
That feeling is sort of the whole point.
What will I need to bring?
Comfortable, form-fitting activewear is best — think leggings and a fitted top. Grip socks are recommended for hygiene and safety on the equipment (you can purchase these at the studio if you don't have a pair). Avoid loose or baggy clothing as it can get caught in the equipment.
Can you bring your lil ones?
Yes!! Not only is it great for lil ones seeing you taking care of yourself and moving your body, we can incorporate some fun and engaging movement for the cherubs as well.
Do I need any Pilates experience to get started??
Not at all! All new clients begin with the Meraki Foundations package — an initial consultation followed by three private sessions. This gives me the chance to understand your body, your goals, and your history before designing a program that's right for you. You'll feel confident and supported from your very first session.

How is Meraki Pilates Studio different from a regular Pilates studio?
Meraki is a private, boutique home studio — not a commercial gym or large group class environment. Sessions are kept deliberately small (maximum 3 people in group sessions) so I can give every client my full attention. You'll never be just a face in the crowd. The studio is also the first fully equipped Pilates studio on the Redcliffe Peninsula waterfront — a truly special space.
What equipment does the studio have?
Meraki is fully equipped with a range of professional Pilates apparatus and props — making it the only studio of its kind on the waterfront of the Redcliffe Peninsula. Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel to name a few. Each session uses equipment selected specifically for your body and goals. I will walk you through everything during your initial consultation so there are no surprises.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. This allows the opportunity to offer the time to another client. Late cancellations or no-shows may forfeit the session from your pack. Life happens — just reach out as early as possible and we'll always do our best to accommodate you.
How do I book a session?
You can reach me directly by email at MerakiPilates101@gmail.com or by phone/SMS on 0448 639 887. I will get back to you promptly to confirm your session time and answer any questions.
Still have a question?

How often should I come to see results?
Most clients see and feel a difference within 4–6 sessions, with meaningful results from consistent practice over 8–12 sessions. Two sessions per week is ideal for building strength, improving posture, and developing body awareness. That said, even one session per week consistently will deliver real benefits —we will work with whatever suits your schedule and lifestyle.
Can I bring a friend or train as a pair?
Yes! Duo sessions are a wonderful way to share the Pilates experience with a friend, partner, or family member. Sessions are still highly personalised — I work with both of you individually within the same session. Duo packs start from $252 for a pack of 4.
